To the mum who feels tired, stressed out, overweight, and has low self-esteem

“I’m doing this to myself for my kids; I want them to have a better life than the one I had”

Mums, you’ve said this to yourself a few times.

And this is a natural reaction as a parent.

You want the best for your kids.

You didn’t carry them for 9 months, endured all the pain, the mood swings, the frustration only to not be able to give the BEST.

Only mothers like you can understand what you have gone through.

As your kids start to grow up, you start prioritising them over yourself.

Which is what society has taught you to do so.

Which is what society believes is the RIGHT thing to do.

There are inevitable repercussions to not putting yourself first:
– You feel sick
– You get easily tired
– You consistently gain weight
– You feel moody and frustrated
– You have low self-esteem and low confidence
– You feel weak

But you carry on.

Because:

– You won’t have the energy to spend quality time with your kids
– You’ll get frustrated why you keep on gaining weight, affecting your work, your productivity, your moods towards your children and family
– You’ll get sick often, unable to tender care to them
– In the next 5 or 10 years, these symptoms will worsen and you might even burden them in the future.
Your kids might have a better life now but are you nurturing a better future for them?

Mums, I want you to stop and imagine:

What would your kids’ lives become if you show up to them as the BEST version of yourself everyday?
– They will see you as a great role model
– They will lead a life led by the standards you have set
So how can you be the BEST version of yourself?
– As a busy parent, you need DOABLE exercise routines and eating habits
– You need to be effective: learning how to activate the fat loss process even when you are resting and not focus on calories burned.
– You need to be efficient in managing your time and getting 1% better every day.
– You need to learn how to be in control: both of your internal (mindset) and your external environment (relationships, people, food that you see, etc.)
– You need a support system with the same goals as you are – to be an amazing parent, an amazing mum
– You need an experienced coach with just the right combination of compassion, no-nonsense, and KSA: knowledge, skills, abilities.
– You need to be able to develop your own sets of KSA.
